Use of Information Collected by Us
What we collect if you only browse our Site:
If you do nothing during your visit to our Site but browse, read pages, or download information, we will gather and store certain limited information about your visit. This information does not identify you personally. We automatically collect and store the following information about your visit:
- The Internet Protocol ("IP") address and domain name used. The IP address is a numerical identifier assigned either to your internet service or directly to your computer. We use the IP address to direct internet traffic to you. This address can be translated to determine the domain name of your service provider;
- The type of browser and operating system you used;
- The date and time you visited this Site;
- The web pages or services you accessed at this Site; and
- The website you visited prior to coming to this Site.
The information we automatically collect or store is used by us only for the purpose of improving the content of our web services and to help us understand how people are using our services so that we may continually improve the performance, suitability and usefulness of our websites to you, our customers and potential customers.
What we collect if you volunteer information:
If during your visit to our Site you participate in a survey, send an e-mail, or perform some other transaction on-line, the following additional information will be collected:
- The e-mail address, and contents of e-mail, for those who communicate with us via e-mail;
- Information volunteered in response to a survey or by participating in a contest or other promotion sponsored by us;
- Information volunteered during your registration on our Site; and
- Information volunteered through an on-line form for any other purpose, including requests to receive samples or marketing information, credit applications, subscriptions to our newsletter, and use of our on-line order forms to order products or services.
We will use your e-mail address to contact you or to address issues you identify to further improve our website. As an added service to you, we may also use this information to pre-populate on-line order forms to save you time in the ordering and re-ordering process.
External use of volunteered information:
Please note that there are instances where we share your volunteered information with third parties. For example, we may disclose your name, mailing address and summarized order information to carefully screened and selected third parties for marketing purposes. However, we never share your e-mail address, phone number, credit card or financial information.
Also note that HoodiePet™, LLC, like many internet and catalog retailers, employs other companies and individuals to perform specific functions on our behalf. Examples include fulfilling orders, delivery of packages, mail and e-mail, address hygiene, credit card processing services, research that allows us to improve the quality of services to you, or performing a credit check if requested as part of your order. These service providers have access to the information that they require to perform their functions but are strictly forbidden from using it for any other purposes. You may, however, "opt-out" of this use of your volunteered information at any time, but doing so may impair our ability to provide you with proper service and to process your orders.
Order-related and Promotional Email Messages
If you agree, HoodiePet™, LLC will transmit e-mail to you for the purpose of informing you about your particular transaction. In addition, HoodiePet™, LLC and its affiliates may offer electronic newsletters and promotional e-mails to those who have agreed to receive emails. Unsubscribe and opt out instructions are included in each promotional e-mail message.
A cookie is a small data file that web sites, when you visit them, often store on your hard drive. A cookie may contain information (such as a unique user ID), which is used to track the pages of the sites you've visited.
To enable or disable cookies on your browser, please consult your browser documentation or contact your software provider.
Security and SSL
Protecting your order information is a priority for us. We use Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") technology to protect the security of your online order information. To check the security of your connection, look at the lower right-hand corner of your browser window after accessing the server. If you see an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser), then SSL is active and the server is secure. You can also double-check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters of the Site address will change from "http" to "https." Some versions of browsers and some firewalls don't permit communication through secure servers. In that case, you won't be able to connect to the server and therefore won't be able to place an order through a secure connection. If you cannot access the secure server for any reason, please print our shopping page and place your order by phone at 855-8-HOODIE (855-846-6343).
If you prefer not to receive marketing e-mails please let us know by clicking on the unsubscribe link within any marketing e-mail that you receive from us.
Children and Privacy
We will never request personally identifiable information from anyone whom we know to be under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a customer is under the age of 13 and has registered without prior verifiable parental consent, we will remove his or her personally identifiable registration information from our files.

No transmission of data over the Internet is guaranteed to be completely secure. It may be possible for third parties not under the control of HoodiePet™, LLC to intercept or access transmissions or private communications unlawfully. While we strive to protect your personal information, neither HoodiePet™, LLC nor any of our service providers can ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us over the Internet. Any such transmission is done at your own risk.
Limitation on Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL HOODIEPET™, LLC OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATED ENTITIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, EXEMPLARY OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, EVEN IF HOODIEPET™, LLC HAS BEEN PREVIOUSLY ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, WHETHER IN AN ACTION UNDER CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE, INABILITY TO USE OR PERFORMANCE OF THE INFORMATION, SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND MATERIALS AVAILABLE FROM THE SITE. These limitations shall apply notwithstanding any failure of essential purpose or the existence of any limited remedy. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, the above limitations may not apply to you.
The laws of the State of Wisconsin will govern these disclaimers, terms and conditions without giving effect to any principles of conflict of law.
