Meet the HoodiePet™ Pets!
Arkie the Polar Bear
Arkie the Polar Bear was born in the Arctic Circle. That’s the coldest and northernmost part of the whole world! Arkie has a big white fur coat to keep warm in the cold weather.
Arkie loves to have fun with the other polar bears playing slip and slide on the ice and fishing in the freezing cold water with their big paws. You’ll know Arkie and the other polar bears are ready to play when they wag their heads side-to-side which is polar bear speak for “Wanna play?” Although Arkie moves slow and looks pretty cuddly, a polar bear can be a bit irritable when hungry!
Arkie is the big bear around HoodiePet Island™, and when we say big we mean big. When standing tall, Arkie is 8 feet high and weighs a whopping 1500 pounds!
Bambooie the Panda
Bambooie the black and white panda is the gentle giant of HoodiePet Island™. Bambooie is not quite as big as Arkie. When standing Bambooie reaches 6 feet, about the same size as a grown up man or woman.
Bambooie grew up in China, which is a long way from HoodiePet Island™. The people in Bambooie’s hometown call panda bears the “big bear cats” because they look like bears, they walk on all fours, and they have distinctively cat-like eyes.
Bambooie mows through a lot of bamboo every day since that’s the panda bear’s favorite food, but panda bears occasionally munch on other grass and roots for a bit of variety. Panda bears love to share their meals, and they are often found sitting together eating handfuls of leaves and shoots. Bambooie has also been known to climb a tree or two so you might have to look up to catch sight of this bear!
Speedie the Cheetah
Speedie the spotted cheetah holds the record for being the fastest animal on HoodiePet Island™…and the whole rest of the world too! Speedie can run at over 70 miles per hour, which is the speed a car goes on the expressway! Speedie’s HoodiePet Island™ friends know that Speedie will always win the 50 yard dash, but they still think it is fun to race anyway!
Sadly, the other HoodiePet Friends™ never win! Did you know that cheetahs sprint so fast that they tire very quickly? They can’t keep up their high speed chase for very long! When hungry, Speedie slinks around quietly, kept hidden by his spotted fur, and when ready to run, Speedie takes off!
During the day Speedie loves to lounge in the grass, kept cool by the shade of a nearby tree. Speedie is a big, beautiful and incredibly fast jungle cat!
Bouncie the Bunny
Bouncie the bunny loves to bounce, bounce, bounce! With silky soft fur and a cottontail, HoodiePet Island™ is the perfect place for this bouncing bunny!
Bouncie is a country bunny at heart and Bouncie loves to hop through the meadows, forest, woods, and grasslands. Every once in a while bunnies dip their toes into the water, but Bouncie is definitely not a fan of swimming! Bouncie can hop high and hop fast so you better get a good look while you can.
If you blink, you’ll miss this hopper bouncing away! Bouncie is a strict vegetarian, munching on grass, roots, and leafy green plants. A bunny’s teeth never stop growing so they nibble on twigs and branches to keep their teeth flat and sharp. Better for munching veggies with!
Barkie the Puppy
Barkie the puppy is a boisterous and entertaining puppy! Barky was born in America’s heartland and is one of the most loveable, squeezable, huggable pets on HoodiePet Island™.
A funny, fetch-loving friend, Barky loves to swim and play. Barky has an amazing sense of smell and can find a scent trail long even among all the other smells of the world! This pup is a loyal companion and loves to learn new tricks!
Barkie might make a noisy bark when spooked, but it’s only to alert you that there might be something you should listen out for!
Barkie is a brilliant best friend for everyone!
Unitie the Unicorn
Unitie the unicorn is a beautiful, mysterious, magical animal from the greatest legends ever written. Some stories say unicorns live in the clouds, others say the woods are home to these magical creatures.
Unitie is a fantastical illusion that comes and goes in a POOF of multicolored smoke! Unicorns prefer to remain hidden from view, so it might be hard to spot them amongst the clouds and trees.
Unitie was there for the HoodiePet Island™ animals when they needed a helping hand, and you can bet Unitie will be there for you if you need it!
A unicorn’s spiral horn has special powers and every unicorn has an endless imagination. Unitie’s beautiful pink coat sparkles in the sunshine, and Unitie is a wild, whimsical, and wonderfully free spirited companion!
Grizzie the Bear
Grizzie the black bear loves nothing more than a good meal followed by a nice long nap! Grizzie’s naptime can last for up to five whole months!
This black bear was born deep in the North American woodland and is one of the smartest animals to roam through the forest.
Grizzie is the second tallest bear on HoodiePet Island™ after Arkie the Polar Bear. When standing tall Grizzie reaches six and a half feet…taller than most basketball players! Grizzie could dunk a ball like a pro!
Grizzie loves to eat, and is not a picky eater. Black bears do have a particular fondness for honey and will chew through an entire tree trunk just to reach that sweet amber nectar!
Clawie the Tiger
Clawie the Tiger was born in Southern Asia, and like Bambooie the panda, HoodiePet Island™ is a long way from Clawie’s native home.
Clawie is a meat-eater and hasn’t yet learned how to share meals with friends, so don’t bother asking. Like other cats, Clawie likes nothing more than a long nap in the sun.
Tigers have striped fur that keeps them well hidden during the day so they can spend more time napping!
Clawie likes to hunt and stalk under the cover of darkness. Tigers are strong-willed and never back down from a challenge. Clawie weighs a very heavy 720 pounds…way too big to be a housecat!
You might think that lions are the only cats to roar, but don’t mess with Clawie as a tiger’s roar can be just as noisy!
Zolie the Zebra
Zolie the Zebra was born in the plains and grasslands of Africa, but also loves wandering up and down the mountains! Zolie’s horse-like features and black and white striped coat make for a truly fascinating HoodiePet Island™ creature.
Zolie’s stripes are a bit like a fingerprint, and there’s no other zebra on the planet that has the exact same stripes.
Zebras love to be surrounded by their friends! Zolie is a very social animal. Zolie can even talk to other zebra friends in a special language of high-pitched barks and whinnies!
You’ll know if a zebra has got something to say! Zebras love to run, and Zolie started running just an hour after being born.
A full-grown zebra could easily win a running race against a horse!!
Screamie the Ape
Screamie the ape is HoodiePet Island’s™ friendly fun-loving ape. You might find Screamie lounging around HoodiePet Island™ reading a book, or doing a crossword puzzle.
Screamie’s opposable thumbs mean this ape can hold a pen or pencil just like we can! Apes are the only animal on earth that can use sign language to communicate with other apes and humans.
Screamie likes to sleep in a safe and secure location, which is usually a nest made from branches, leaves and twigs. Screamie’s not too picky when it comes to food but as you might’ve guessed apes do love a nice tasty banana!
When Screamie isn’t lounging, this ape loves to swing from branch to branch, high above the treeline. If you’re in the mood for a game, Screamie will happily play “throw the bananas from the treetops!”
Minie the Bunny
Minie the Bunny is the smallest animal on HoodiePet Island™. Like Bouncie the Bunny, Minie loves to bounce around and you’ll often see Minie trying to chase after Bouncie. Minie can’t wait until the day when she grows big enough to bounce higher and faster than Bouncie!
Minie eats lots of leafy green plants, grass and roots but carrot and apples are her favourite treats! Minie has silky soft fur, a pink nose and a cottontail and loves hopping around exploring HoodiePet Island™.
When Minie is happy you can tell by the humming sound she makes. She’ll usually kick her legs and jump around too. She is a baby and sometimes she gets scared of the noises on HoodiePet Island™.
When Minie is scared she stomps her back feet to warn Bouncie and all the other bunnies that there may be danger. Don’t let Minie’s tiny size fool you, even though Minie is just a kit (baby bunny), Minie is already quite fast!
